Family Tax Benefit Part A
By Sandy Naidu | June 18, 2008
This benefit is paid by government to help families with the costs of raising kids. The benefit is paid for each child. The amount of benefit you get depends on:
1. Number of children you have
2. Age of children
3. Your combined family income
To get the maximum benefit your family income has to be less than $41,319. For each child under 13 years of age, you get
$4460.30 per year. For each child between 13 and 15 years of age, you get $5595.45 per year. For kids 15 years of age plus, the benefit decreases. The complete details of the benefits can be found at Family Tax Benefit Part A.
If your family income is more than $41,319 then your benefit decreases. You can find complete details of income limits here http://www.familyassist.gov.au/Internet/FAO/fao1.nsf/content/payments-ftba-how_much_ftba-more_84023.htm
