2009 - A New Beginning
By Sandy Naidu | December 24, 2008
2009 is just a few sleeps away. 2008 has been an interesting year for me. 2008 was my first year without my software business. In 2008 I have been only working in Internet Marketing. I started 2008 with a lot of enthusiasm and ideas and motivation. Professionally for me it turned out to be a mediocre year. I did not achieve all the goals I set out to achieve. There are many reasons for this but I am not going to get into here because at the end of the day it is in the past - and tomorrow is a new beginning.
I have only one goal for my business in 2009 - That is to x2 my income (i.e. double my income). Definitely not an easy goal but something I am keen on and looking forward to. Before the year begins, I will be writing a detailed plan - step by step plan on for each my core websites (like how much traffic I need for each of them to reach my goal and my ideas and steps for achieving this traffic).
Financially I have three goals -

One: I have picked the mortgage I have to concentrate on this year. Now, all that I have to do is pour any extra money I have into it. My plan is to to pay it off by the end of 2010. |
Two: Use Quicken every month. I have become a huge fan of Quicken - I will be writing a detailed review soon.
Three: Start an index fund. I will be writing a review on this one as well.
I am looking forward to 2009. I have a feeling that professionally, this is going to be a big year for me. How do I know that? Because ‘I am going to make it a BIG year’. Personally too I amm really looking forward to leaving some of my old practices and inhibitions behind.
Have you set your 2009 goals? Share your input into the main ingredients for turning goals into reality.

I use Quicken too and it has turned my financial life around. I will own my home this year because of it. I would love to write an article for your website if you want me to, on how I have done it. Keep up the good work, Phil.
