Money For Jam
By FutureNestEgg | September 2, 2009
Last night at 8 PM on channel nine, there was new show – Money For Jam. I had read some of the promotional material over the last few weeks and was looking forward to watching the program. We haven’t had something like this on television for a while now. A few years ago we used to have a show called ‘Money’, which happened to be one of my favourite shows and then there were all kinds of business success stories on different channels on Sunday Mornings – all these programs are not on air any more (weep, weep, weep).

But last night Paul Clitheroe and his team were back on air – and I am so happy that at last we have some thing sensible in the prime time – sick of all the reality television series. |
Money For Jam is presented by Effie Zahos (Money Magazine Editor) and Paul Clitheroe, along with TV presenter Shelley Craft and AFL legend Shane Crawford.
Money For Jam focusses on how we can earn that extra money – extra cash that can make life that much sweeter. We have money for the basics – bread and butter and then there is the money for jam – the extra money. The show has tips on how you can save money and also home based business ideas (my favourite). Last night the home based business ideas were beekeeping and baking – they were not just ideas but interviews with real life people who are actually using these ideas to supplement their incomes.
One of the main reasons I like these kind of shows is that it brings the importance of savings and financial security into lime light – the more the talk the more the impact.
I don’t watch much television at all – but this is a show I am going to watch…
Did you watch the show? What are your thoughts about it….
Best,
