Qantas Frequent Flyer and Every Day Rewards Program
By FutureNestEgg | August 18, 2009
Woolworths and Qantas have teamed up together and have linked the Every Day Rewards Program and Qantas Frequent Flyer program. This is definitely good news for Woolies shoppers – if you are not a regular Woolworths shopper, I still recommend you sign up for a Every Day Rewards card – it is free – you can either grab one from their stores or sign up online. The card can be used at Woolworths Liquor shops, Woolworths supermarkets and Big W.

Signing up for Qantas Frequent Flyer program is not free – there is a one off fee of $82.50. Travel discounts and gift vouchers are some of the rewards you get from this program – check out their website for a complete list. |
If you have an Everyday Rewards Program, you can now link it up with the Qantas Frequent Flyer card – If you do this, you don’t have to pay the $82.50 initial fee – you get it for free.
To link them together:
1. Go to EveryDay Rewards website.
2. Login if you are registered – you can have an every day card already and still not be registered. If so, register online.
3. The next step after logging in is to link – if you already have a Qantas Frequent Flyer card, then just enter the number and link them together – quite straightforward. If you don’t have a Qantas Frequent Flyer card, then say so on one of the questions on the online form – you will be instantly given a frequent flyer card number. I did not have one and within two minutes of logging in, I had one.
One thing though – one frequent flyer program card can only be linked to one every day rewards card – so I could not link my husband’s frequent card to my every day savings card because he already linked his frequent flyer card to his everyday rewards card.
If you spend $30 in Woolworths (in one transaction), then for every one dollar over 30 dollars of spending, you get one point in your frequent flyer card – quite good.

I thought it was a good deal until I saw that the first $30 doesn’t count. I do lots of top-up shops these days and most of these are under $30 – thanks for nothing!

You are right about the 30 dollars – The first 30 does not count – only from thereafter – so for 30 or more you get the points. But if you are a regular shopper in Woolies and do your weekly shopping there then I do think it is a good program.
