Savings Account Rates

A recent poll by Galaxy Research Poll concluded that more than 80% of Australians don’t know the interest they earn on their savings account. I am ashamed to admit that I am one of those Australians. Up until this afternoon I had no idea what my savings account was earning. I have a savings account and usually there is only a very limited amount of money in there (for emergency withdrawals). Savings accounts normally pay very low interest. And so I didn’t think it was necessary to keep myself up to date what I was earning out there….After reading about this poll, I decided not to be one of those Australians – I logged on to my bank’s website and found out what I was earning…If you are one of those Australians, find out what you are earning now….
