Superannuation Misunderstood Terms

By FutureNestEgg | September 13, 2009

According to a recent study done by Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia, most Australians are confused about superannuation (no big surprise here…). Most of us find it too complicated and don’t fully understand most of the terms in Superannuation. The Australian newspaper highlighted ten most understood terms in superannuation.

In this series, I have picked six of these terms and expanded on them…Superannuation is something I want to write more in-depth posts on, it is definitely on my to do list for the year. But for now, let me get started with these six terms:

1. Preservation Age

2. Allocated Pensions

3. Transition To Retirement

4. Non-Binding Beneficiary and Binding Beneficiary Of Your Super Fund

5. Automatic Acceptance Limit

6. Conditions Of Release

Hope you enjoy this series and as always any thoughts/ideas welcome (in the comments section below)

Best,
